We're making progress...

So, today the doctor approved Matt to fly home either on Thursday or Friday. His opinion was that a medical escort was not necessary as Matt's pain is managed by pills now and I could look after that, but there's no frikin' way I'm flying without a nurse after all that has happened - so, I'm in the process of sorting that out, luckily sounds like the insurance company shares my opinion, so hopefully we'll be home before the weekend.

I just got back from vacation and was anxious to read your blog and could not believe all the things that have happened in just two weeks. Glad you will be home soon so you have more support but sorry to hear the adoption process has come to a complete halt. After waiting so long you must both be heartbroke but having a healthy and painfree husband is probably the only thing on your mind.

I must say Sylvia, only you could make this into an adventure, make friends and still see some sights while you are going through a crisis a day. I would be in a corner crying and feeling sorry for myself.

By the way, if you haven't already heard the Roughriders are 5-0. It was good to see them beat Kerry Joseph!!!

See you soon

Glad to know that you can get home before he has surgery. That will be much better for you. We have had three back surgeries and I can't imagine having it in another country. You will continue to be in our prayers.

Wow, I came across your blog today and can understand that lower back pain. I have fought lower back problems since I was 24 and before we left for Ukraine, I had my doctor give me some muscle relaxants to help if I ran into problems while there, fortunately God only gave me a couple of casual reminders that my back was a delicate piece of life.

I know life probably feels so upside down right now, but know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many..
